Task and Responsibilities

Editorial Assistant assists the editors in the administration of all aspects of publishing related operations, including but not limited to planning, acquiring, managing, producing, marketing book and journal projects. The responsibilities are:

•  To assist the editors to manage the publishing projects. Publishing projects include books, journals and electronic publications.

•  To assist the editors to communicate with book/journal partners, authors, and reviewers.

Task and Responsibilities:

·  In support of the Director, act as the primary contact for institutions and funders on behalf of ORG, with particular focus on their OR needs

·   Build up contacts in all relevant departments within institutions – i.e. library, research office, etc.

·   Through direct contact and outreach with institutions, log scholarly communications status, with a particular focus on OR (open research) – i.e. OA policy, mandate, funding info in Greater China.

  • Manage a portfolio of journals from acceptance into production through to online publication
  • Performing safety checks on manuscripts prior to publication to ensure they conform to Journal style guides and house policy
